Proud Army Wife

In light of last night's announcement (watch it again here) by our President that the United States has killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, I wanted to take a break from blogging about my classroom to address this importaint day in history.
I just want to say how thankful I am to live in a country as wonderful as ours and how PROUD I am of all of the members of our military, especially my husband.
Although this unfortunately does not change the fact that my husband will more thank likely be deploying sometime in the next 6 months, it does help to remind us all what they're fighting for and gives closure to many for the horrible attack on our nation almost 10 years ago.
We sent a message this weekend to terrorists around the world- You can run, but you can't hide forever.

As President Obama said so beautifully last night:
"Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power,
but because of who we are:  one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Thank you.  May God bless you.  And may God bless the United States of America."
